Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention (Beginning and Continuing) This is a Special Free Class meeting twice per week for Marin County Residents ages 60+ who can’t come to Sausalito. The class will meet twice per week. On Fridays it is In-Person at Town of Ross Recreation Room, 9 Lagunitas Lane, and on Sundays it is on Zoom. This easy-to-learn form of Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention will improve movement, balance, strength, flexibility, relaxation, and overall health-related quality of life while also decreasing pain and preventing falls in older adults. The program will take place over 16 sessions, meeting once a week for 16 weeks, for one hour per session. Classes are led by Tai Chi for Health Institute Board certified community instructors from Age Friendly Sausalito, and Dominican University. Funding for this program, in part, is made available by the Older Americans Act, administered locally by the Marin Department of Health and Human Services, Aging and Adult Services and Marin County Parks.* *(contributions are welcome, but there is no obligation to contribute; and service will not be denied).
